The vision behind this project: Take a look at the North End of Halifax and find a better place to build a great property. The North End is the new epicenter for development in HRM and BANC Group led by Alex Halef, identified that before the turn of the millennium. Where better in HRM would you find an area in desperate search and need of something befitting its stature? Nowhere!
The goal was simple: Give the market what it wants. We look at every detail and study whether it is the right move. The unit sizes, the mixes, the flows within the units, the door swings and then the details within. Dimmable pot lights where none existed as an option before. Screwless face plates make a clean look to all the walls. The concept of hiding wires so you can’t see them while watching TV. Using the latch system for the purpose of installing tile so the joints are as tight as possible. These all seem minor in nature, but when added together, they become the focal point features of the residential construction BANC Group is known for, and what makes them unique. To put it another way, as company President Alex Halef says “We just care about things that even tenants never really cared about. It comes from thinking about the living experience.”
